Hey, completely clueless & wanting to burn a DVD

Hey, so I know absolutely nothing about anything in videography, at all. But I am pregnant and documenting the journey via IPhone. My intention was to eventually splice all the little videos together into a physical copy of baby’s journey into our world. Exactly like home video. But then it dawned on me, i absolutely have no idea how to do that. So what do i do? Google. What does google tell me? I’m dumb. lol I have no idea what im reading, the only real option (I think) is Walmart media transfer but I think I need a physical copy to begin with for that. So my big question is: Is it possible/easy(ish) for a layman like me to get a home dvd? Follow up, if so, HOW??? if you wanted a dvd of a video on your phone, how would you obtain that? Novice like.
PS: it could be my wording while googling is what’s resulting in weird / complicated answers, idk.

Editing the videos together you could do it something like iMovie or Clipchamp, there are other options for !freesoftware but there Creating the DVD involves a process called authoring, where the video file is converted to the correct format for the disc and all the menus and ancillary parts are created. There are limited applications still in development for that task but there is a simple free one still being developed: https://www.dvdstyler.org/en/ It’s worth pointing out that modern TVs can usually play high-definition video files off of USB sticks and HDDs. That might be a little simpler if your TV supports it.

There's loads of the one YouTube and there anywhere from an hour to 12 hours long and it's just flashing RGB lights and I have to know if it actually works
Top Comment: It depends, but it sometimes works. For screen burnin, usually the pixels get stuck retaining a previous image, and the flashing lights force the pixels to continuously refresh and get unstuck. It definitely depends on the type of panel and how bad the burn in is though, it’s an easy fix when it does work but won’t work all the time.

Burn Digital Home Videos to DVD

I have been archiving my family photos and videos. I have many videos on my portable that I want to burn to DVDs to share with family and to watch on TV. I am not having any luck and could use some help.
The files are, .bup, ifo. and vob. I have tried programs like Winx to burn or convert files but no luck they all don't recognize the files, programs crash/freeze, or the output (mpeg-2 or mp4) doesn't play anything.
I'm new to DVD burning and video files so any suggestions help are appreciated.
*I am using Verbatim DVD + R

Hi, Here is how to:
- Drop your video into the list
- Choose a video function (H.264 for instance)
- Open the 'Edit media content' window from 'Editing' section
- Open 'Add subtitles' section
- Add your subs file and choose your font, color etc.
- Start function

Doesn't burning DVDs higher than the video bitrate matter?

Hey everyone! I'm burning some DVDs for my dad of some rare stuff he's struggling to find (English versions living in Japan). In DVD styler, it's usually auto setting the bitrate to around 4.8 mbs, however, the source file of some of this stuff is much lower. Lowering the bit rate to fit more on a disc would be very beneficial here, so I'm wondering if lowering the bitrate, despite it still bring higher than source, would effect the end quality.
And example, the 1960s version of kimba the white lion is 480p, and looks to be about 1 mbs. Even lowering it to fit an extra 2 episodes would greatly reduce the end disc count.

Yes, lowering the bitrate will ALWAYS have quality loss. Especially if you are burning it to work in a DVD player
If you are just adding files where he can play it on his pc, you can use a modern codec to potentially have no noticeable quality loss, but there will always be some loss
